Someone showed me this trick years ago. I use it very often, so thought I’d share. If you have a chainsaw or trimmer that you don’t use very often, it can be difficult to start. However, if you leave the on/off switch in the “off” position, then pull the cord about 8 times, it should start after you turn the switch to “on” and pull once more.
I’m not an engine expert, but assume that this process clears old gas out of the chamber or something like that. It’s saved me from a lot of frustration over the years and I hope it helps. Thanks for visiting our site!
